Don't we usually, either by instinct or just pure feminism, under estimate the guys in our lives? Have you, for once, stopped and thought- Hey, is it as hyped as we make it out to be? Do we have to go all- Girls know it best- on them?
To an extent, the meaning of feminism have been tampered, or so I think.
Having the ability to voice your thoughts on par with your male counterparts, having the confidence, ability and backup to follow your gut, to be able to feel what you really want to feel, and do whatever it is that you want without your conscience being hurt.
Well, that's all there is to it. Isn't it? I do not understand why most people who claim to be feminists go around smacking down the opposite sex.
Oh, by the way, feminism is not even close to what I am going to talk about today :D.
This is going to be a ' feel good' factor for all the men out there, hehe.
Where there was a mom to take care of our every cry, every emotion, there was a dad who worked tirelessly to get that smile on our family's faces. Where there was a sister to share our girly stuff with, there was a brother, to beat up any guy who would come even close to harassing you. For every moment we girls claim- is not safe to go shopping alone- are a close knit group of boyfriends who have your back.
If we can for a while, just erase (lol) some silly stuff they do:
(lets just number out a few ;))
- keeping their clothes lying around
- keeping stuff at any other place than the place we told them to keep it :P
- irritate you with silly comments when you are talking serious
- plays pranks on you and does it so well that you almost believe it
- goes on for weeks without shaving and comes out looking like a hobo
- goes and gets himself 'squeaky clean' clean shaved and comes out looking ahem - lets say-i don't like it :D( most of you feel the same, no?)
- when they begin to do the, 'was the sugar on discount' :P dialogue.
I actually cant remember much right now. Well, since we are going to focus on the good things, if we do forget some of the silly things they do, we can very well see a beautiful soul there- someone who cares in his own way, someone who will always make you smile, someone who gets you an ice cream, when they know that you need it; someone who will fight with you, only to let you know you are wrong or else comes and apologizes.
You can find a loving dad, who will do everything in his power to protect his child,
a friend, who would protect you from the pervert any day,
a brother, who irritates you but spoils you equally with your favorite perfume,
a husband, who loves you beyond all means- is your pillar of strength, your punchbag :D,your soul mate,
a son, who eventually learns that nobody would ever love, care and cherish him as much as his family would...
Here's wishing all you men out there, a happy international men's day!!!:)
So what, if we girls nag you a bit, know that we love you, we find your protectiveness attractive, your care-addictive, and your presence-essential.
For every jerk on the face of Earth, there is a better man around the corner, lets stop judging every man by his cover. All you guys out there, have a sound sleep- at least 50% of people around the world are happy you are around :)
